The Law of Attraction:

About 14 years ago, I had the opportunity to be one of the featured teachers in a popular movie that went viral titled 'The Secret'.

This movie resulted in a concept spreading across the world called "The Law of Attraction" which suddenly appeared on many people's radar screens globally.

When I was interviewed on camera for the production of the movie, the process took over seven hours. However, just one minute of footage made its way into the final version.

Today, I’d love to share some of my teachings that were not included in the movie – what I like to call 'the secret behind the secret that was left out of 'The Secret'!

What you think about and thank about you bring about:

What you think about and what you concentrate your intention on impacts your sensory perceptions thereby filtering out of your environment information to help you achieve it. Thinking about something truly meaningful and important that you intend to create or fulfill increases the probability of becoming aware of the many opportunities and resources surrounding you to achieve it.

Keeping this intended outcome and information at the forefront of your mind also helps you prioritize your actions, which increases the probability of you achieving your intention or goal.

Thinking about things DOES increase the probability of your:

  • Being aware of opportunities around you (synchronous opportunities), and
  • Taking action.

Most people who write down a goal and look at it every day are likely to notice an increasing probability of being aware of things that help them reach their goal and they are therefore more likely to take prioritized productive action.

As an example, I’ve written down and regularly updated my objectives since I was 17. I’ve volumes of objectives and goals, of which 90% are realities today.

I’m certain that what you think about, visualize, internally dialogue with yourself about, feel inspired and grateful for, would love to create in life, and what you act on, SIGNIFICANTLY increases the probability of achieving what it is that you want.

Goals that fizzle out are likely to have been initiated by a lower transient values and not your highest and truly most important or meaningful value.

What you’re attracted to by your highest values, you’ll tend to spot in your environment.

If you’re a mother with three children under the age of five and your highest value is taking care of those beautiful children, you’re likely to be focused on anything related to their care and wellbeing.

Suppose you head to a mall, for example. In that case, you’ll tend to notice child-related items – children's clothes, toys, educational equipment, and entertainment – any items that will assist you in fulfilling what you value most for or with your children.

At that moment, on a neural level in the pulvinar nuclei of your brain’s thalamus, which is part of your diencephalon - a sub-cortical structure in the brain that filters your sensory awareness to bring it up to conscious awareness, you will automatically filter your environment based on what you value most. As a result, something that is LOW on your list of values tends not to get through that filter and is overlooked.

Whatever is HIGHEST on your list of values or priorities - the thing that is most important, meaningful, and inspiring to you - is the thing that you are going to spot in your environment and have the most synchronous, opportunity coming into your awareness. You will have attention surplus in your highest values and attention deficit in your lower values. Just like if you buy a new model of cars and suddenly notice them around you.

For example, I have a high value on teaching. As a result, I am more likely to see teaching opportunities all around me. If there is a convention on IT, I will likely walk right past it as it is not on my radar. However, if there is one on human behavior, I will tend to walk straight in and introduce myself. Synchronicity increases when you intend and live according to your highest values.

In other words, I’m likely to spot things that align with my highest values. I’m also more likely to decide to go forward and take action in that area.

It would be wise not to waste your time on objectives, goals, and intentions that are not aligned with your highest values.

A fantasy is simply a immediately gratifying polarized goal that is not truly high on your list of values and not a true balanced objective well though through and planned. A fantasy often requires extended external motivation to ever become even a probable reality.

  • If you need motivation to remind you to do what you want to do, it is not what you truly intrinsically want to do.
  • If you need motivation to incentivize you or remind you to take action, it is a sign that is not truly and highly important to you.
  • If you need to be reminded to do what you say is important, it is not really that important to you.

It’s wise to focus on a few truly and deeply meaningful objectives instead of a bunch of scattered goals that are just transient fantasies.

Now that doesn't mean that you cannot link almost anything to your highest values and increase the odds of achieving.

Suppose you ask, "How specifically is doing this pursuit helping me fulfill what is most meaningful to me?" and you make enough links. In that case, you will increase the probability of your pulvinar nucleus spotting surrounding opportunities, and of your making decisions quickly and acting on them with perseverance.

So, you have two choices: either go and do what you really love to do, stick to what is important and delegate the rest, or love what you do by linking whatever it is that you feel you would like to do to your highest values. You spontaneously act toward objectives that are truly valuable to you.

In my 2 day signature seminar program the Breakthrough Experience that I have presented over 1,120 times, I take individuals who’ve have a low value, let's say on wealth building, and ask them, "How specifically could doing the proven action steps that build wealth, help you fulfill what you deeply value most and what is most important to you?" The more answers they bring out to the surface of their minds consciously the more inspired they become pursuing it and doing the proven actions steps.

Once it is linked in their brain, they increase the probability of achieving it, seeing opportunities around it, making decisions, and moving towards that more inspired objective.

Suppose, for some reason, you want to raise something into a higher value so you can make yourself more focused on it. In that case, you can stack up the advantages and benefits of doing those actions and link them to your highest values.

In doing so, you increase the probability of now concentrating, seeing an opportunity, making decisions quickly and acting on them, and therefore ultimately manifesting it.

Whatever is highest on your values is what you think about most.

My highest value is teaching - I think about it every day. My second highest value is researching and learning - I do it every day. No one has to remind me to do it. I don't need extrinsic motivation. I don't need incentives. I just do it. It is what I spontaneously do every day for over 48 years.

Finding out what YOU spontaneously do will help you to set real and meaningful objectives.

Our manifestation, the things that we create in our life, is a byproduct of our innermost dominant thought.

Many top sportspeople and great celebrities around the world don't waste their time on something that's not valuable to them.

I don't want to waste my value on saying, 'Oh, I think I want to open up a cookie manufacturing company.' It's not on at all high on my list of values or priorities.

Studying human behavior, on the other hand, I am spontaneously inspired to do it, and I set goals on it, achieve in that area and see opportunities.

As a result, I manifest opportunities all around me relative to that highest value.

New opportunities come in around teaching and human behavior every day, but not around things that are low in my values. In those instances, I tend not to spot opportunities, take advantage of them, nor make quick decisions, or act on them.

Instead, I’m more likely to procrastinate, hesitate, frustrate around anything I devalue. It is why I don't drive or cook. I learned a long time ago that I’d be wise not to perform tasks that are low on my values or priorities – they devalue me.

If you want to put this to the test then I recommend you take all your inactive patients, clients, attendees, or buyers and make a list of them. Say their names for a week, every single day, and see what happens.

In most cases, the result will blow your mind because your innermost dominant thought becomes your outermost tangible reality.

You’re likely to notice more opportunities to act towards these individuals becoming active clients again and thereby reactivating them.

They’re also likely to somehow mysteriously and synchronously be at the right place at the right time to meet somebody that talks to somebody that mentions you, and then things start happening.

  • If you can't wait to serve people, people can't wait to get your service.
  • If you’re enthused about being with people, they’re more enthused about being with you.

Therefore, it would be wise to prioritize your ACTIONS, PERCEPTIONS and DECISIONS towards the things you value most so you can increase the probability of having those things become a reality.

It would be wise to ask yourself each morning: "What is the highest priority action step I can do today that will increase the probability or odds that I will achieve what is most important to me?"

If you prioritize your life, you will see that you have more energy, be more enthused, act spontaneously, be more likely to achieve, walk your talk, and wake up your leadership.

You’ll exemplify congruency and authenticity while also magnetizing other resonant people around you because they spontaneously are yearning to do that themselves. Whenever they see somebody living that way, they tend to be naturally drawn to them.

You attract those opportunities that you are attracted to.

That being said, it would be wise not to go after a fantasy or delusion. The probability of getting a million-dollar check in your mailbox just by visualizing it is not very high.

Ensure that you are truly willing to do what it takes to have the outcomes you want. It’s also the action steps that matter.

Although other presenting teachers appearing on "The Secret" suggested that you visualize your goals without thinking them through and planning a path to achieve them.

My experience is that strategic planning in the forebrain is a very powerful tool for making things happen. I wouldn't want to be Elon Musk and go to Mars without planning, thinking, mitigating risk and doing whatever it takes to achieve a goal.

I am a firm believer in asking, "What obstacles might I run into, and how do I solve them in advance?" In that way, I can mitigate potential risks, so I don't need to be distracted by them and am prepared for challenges instead of being broadsided by them.

In this way, I end up with eustress, which promotes wellness and inspires me instead of ending up with distress, which doesn't.

For this reason, it is wise to focus on the actions you have control over that are high on your list of values because that is where you are most likely to embrace both the accompanying pains and pleasures in the pursuit of your objective.

Your highest values is also where you’ll have the highest probability of synchronicities, noticing opportunities, resonating with those opportunities, and achieving your goals.

The people you hang out with have an impact. As does what you feed your mind.

Your innermost dominant thought will also determine where you resonate and who you hang out with most.

For this reason, you’d be wise to prioritize who you spend your time with - people who have the same kind of objectives and who operate at a similar level.

If you do, you will tend to expand yourself. If not, you will tend to contract yourself. So, consider prioritizing the PEOPLE you focus on, your ACTIONS and PERCEPTIONS each day, and what you FEED YOUR MIND.

I would much rather read the quotations of the greatest thinkers throughout the ages than read tabloid news that is distorted with misinformation and subjective biases.

I would also rather fill my mind with high priority actions, high priority thoughts, higher priority readings and content by people who have made or are making a big difference in the world.

It increases the probability of my thinking about it, making decisions, and acting upon my most inspiring objective.

In conclusion:

I am a firm believer that if you are going to focus on something, it would be wise to make sure that it is highest on your list of values for this will elevate yourself worth and probably net worth.
