Wisdom is Seeing Both Sides

Addicted to Drugs

Below are submissions from people regarding some of the benefits they experienced as a result of this perceived challenge:

I am addicted to drugs

I see how many people really love me regardless of who or what I am

I realize how innovative I can be when I want something

I have amazing creative ideas which inspire me to do something more with my life

It makes me look long and hard at myself and I see both things I like about myself and things I don't

I realize I want more for my life and I need to fight to get what I want

I am worthy of love no matter what i have done or not done

I love my family regardless of how angry and disappointed they are with me

My child is addicted to drugs

I am getting closer to my husband as we try to solve this challenge

I am getting closer to my other son and daughter as we had a common goal to solve

My friends have been a source of inspiration and we have had incredible moments of authentic connection as a result of my child being addicted to drugs.

It broke down the barriers between my in-laws as they were able to help and I started to value their support

It helped me communicate more.

It helped me realize that every family has its challenges and that we have amazing strength in times of crisis

My friend is addicted to drugs

I realize how close I was to going the same route and it helped me to wake up

I realized that people can get addicted and it helped me to take the warnings seriously

I saw how it impacted her life and health and it made me realize that I didn't want that for my life

I have built a relationship with her sister and her friends

I get to play a nurturing role and council my friend which makes me feel needed

Makes me grateful for my life and my ability to deal with challenges the way I do

Seeing my friend that way makes me grateful for my parents and how I grew up

I realize that I love my friend regardless of what they do
