You may perceive SMART goals as Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Timely however TRULY smart goals are goals that you see connected to what you value most.
If you want to achieve your goals then setting goals aligned to what your life demonstrates as high on your list of values is one of the keys to their achievement. I define smart goals as goals that you see connected to what you value most.

When trying to achieve your short or long term goals, if you can’t see how what you are doing to achieve them is assisting you in fulfilling what is truly most important in your life, you will procrastinate, hesitate and frustrate in your actions and that will delay the achievement of those goals.
If you ask a simple question ‘how is this action assisting me achieve what is truly most important to me) and you answer it until you can see how all of the daily actions you do are on the way more than in the way and you truly appreciate what you are doing each day and you can see how it is ultimately serving you, you will make progress with those actions towards achieving your goals.
It is wise then to master plan your life by setting what I define as smart goals in life, meaning that they are congruent with what you truly value most and also prioritizing what you are doing each day so you can delegate lower priority actions and stick to those most important.
If you cannot delegate then it is wise to learn to love what you are presently doing through linking them to what is most important or valuable as mentioned above.
It is not what is happening to you or even what you are doing that matters as much as it is your perceptions of them. Change your perceptions and you will change the way you feel about your life.
Create a smart goal
To create a smart goal, start by chunking down your meaningful goals you are truly certain you would love to achieve and that your life demonstrates you are truly committed to. When you set smart goals that are linked to what you value, you will increase your probability of acting on them and achieving them.
Start with what you know and let what you know grow. Smart goals with simple, daily, prioritized actions continuously acted upon, leads you to ever greater achievements.
